“Drôlerie IX” Collage on Gilded wood panel
Drôlerie is a French term used for the grotesques or comical scenes found in the borders of medieval illuminated manuscripts. The images that appear have no relation to the text and are usually mixed creatures, half man half beast or mixed with plants.
This collage was made using analog and digital techniques, printed on high quality archival paper and protected with UV Hahnemühle varnish. Was pasted on a beautiful hand made wood panel, gilded with gold foil.
There is only one copy of that work, which makes it a very special and valuable item. This Collage comes signed and with their certificate of authenticity.

This Artwork is protected with UV varnish, although it can be hung directly on the wall, due to the fragility of paper and wood it is recommended to frame it with protective glass for greater safety and better conservation of the work.

All artwork are sent carefully packed and protected. Depending on their size different packing materials are used: flat cardboard box, thick recycled paper tube or hard wooden box.
If your artwork arrives inside a rigid cardboard tube, you may notice that the paper it is slightly warped. Don’t worry about it, it’s normal. Is easy to straighten it again with a simple process, but it is recommended to do it by a experienced framing profesional.
