NFTs & CryptoArt
I have wanted to connect the traditional art of drawing and oil painting with the world of innovation and technology, creating some of my works as NFTs.
Why making NFTs?
On the one hand, NFTs are easier to acquire and trade. Therefore it attracts much more people than physical oil paintings. On the other hand, there is a lot of movement and interest in the crypto space sector and collectors are interested in not just being part of the history, they want to write history.
One artwork, three formats to collect
Some of my original works can be acquired and collected in three different formats:
The physical work. It is the real piece (painting, drawing, collage…) of which there is only one copy and once purchased it is sent to its buyer along with its printed certificate of authenticity.
Giclee Fine Art Print. It is a high quality printed copy in a limited and numbered edition (I usually make only 75 copies), once purchased it is sent to its buyer together with its printed certificate of authenticity.
NFTs. This is a high-resolution digital copy of the actual work, of which there is only one copy. Your certificate of authenticity is secured in the blockchain itself
In any of the three cases, the buyer owns the purchased work and can sell it to another collector, but all copyright and reproduction rights are retained by the artist (Carlos Dorian). The artworks, may not be reproduced by any process without the express written permission of the artist.
